SMARC
The SMARC™ "Smart Mobility ARChitecture" form factor was defined by SGET for low-power platforms. Both x86 and ARM® processors are used on the module, which makes the form factor extremely versatile. With a wide variety of SMARC™ modules using x86 or ARM(R) processors from the leading embedded manufacturers, it enables interchangeability of modules across architectures and manufacturers. Two module sizes are currently defined in the SMARC™ standard, with the more compact size of 82x50mm being used. The MXM3 with 314 pins is used as the connector to the carrier board, which is absolutely necessary for operation.
