New Braille Display Breaks Barriers in the Digital World

When it comes to digital inclusion, the year 2025 marks a turning point: with the introduction of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act and the European Accessibility Act, new standards will come into force for access to digital products and services. Technological accessibility can already be realized today – for example, through an innovative Braille display that does more than just render text.

For many visually impaired users, visual content such as maps, diagrams, or websites remains only partially accessible. The new Braille Monitor addresses this challenge: 2,400 dynamic pins create tactile representations of complex graphics – complemented by a Braille line for textual information. Supported by artificial intelligence, visual content is automatically analyzed and translated into tactile graphics. This enables true interaction with digital information – directly through touch. Users can not only feel the content but also zoom, pan or rotate it to explore finer details.

What makes the Braille Monitor particularly attractive is its seamless integration into existing systems. With interfaces like USB-C and Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0, it connects quickly to PCs, tablets, or mobile devices. Thanks to native support for screen reader software – including Apple’s VoiceOver via the AxBrailleMap API – the monitor is instantly compatible with current applications.

Whether in education, professional environments, or public services – the range of applications is broad. For specific requirements, we offer customized Braille matrix formats that can be directly embedded into tailored solutions.
